Department of Art History

Since the earliest dawn of civilization, art has carried the power to transform reality and to shape it into a symbolic language through which humanity perceives its own existence. Art is the language of the spirit, moving force that creates meaning and beauty, builds bridges across people and times, and preserves the memory of culture. Through its expression, art liberates the human spirit, inspires creativity, and calls us toward transformation and catharsis. The mission of art is to connect us with truth, and its purpose is to serve as the mirror and light of human existence.
