Igor Kotlarovski

Igor Kotlarovski is a graduated architectural engineer with over 20 years of practical experience in design, supervision, and construction. His professional work spans the fields of church and residential architecture, as well as the development of public urban spaces.

His portfolio includes numerous realized projects, among them Orthodox churches across Macedonia, as well as buildings for individual and collective housing. Particularly significant are his research and construction activities within the monastic complexes of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God in Jankovec, St. Panteleimon in Nerezi, and Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Blatec, which highlight his personal commitment to a profound understanding of the building systems of the Orthodox Church.

He is the author and co-author of scientific studies and publications, including the work “Medieval Building Systems and the Restoration of Byzantine Churches.” This expertise has been recognized in academic circles, and since 2014 he has been actively engaged in teaching at the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje as a practitioner, sharing his professional experience with students. He has also participated and presented at exhibitions and forums addressing the state of cultural heritage in Macedonia.

Restoration of Cultural Heritage: Application of original building systems in processes of reconstruction and restoration.
